Transferring Elements reg. to anther computer

Hi

I’m running Elements on a desktop but I want to give the licence to my daughter as a birthday present. I’m not trying to run it simultaneously on two computers.

Steinberg say that my purchase was for the licence, not the software. Fine & dandy, but am I obliged to shell twenty quid on one of their dongles to move the licence over? If I own the licence, shouldn’t I be able to move it without buying computer hardware?

Sorry for the grumpiness, this stuff gets me hot & bothered!

I believe there is a way to transfer the soft-elicenser license to a different computer/owner, and it seems to me I was able to re-activate such a license on a new computer build.
