Transient Spikes on Channel 1

Hi,

I am getting random spikes on channel 1 of my UR-RT, causing high pitched squeaks in my recordings. It doesn’t happen on the other channels. Any suggestions ?

Check the cable, thats what i would do first since it is only that channel.

Hi Kevin and welcome,

I was getting this with or without a cable attached to the input on my UR22. Have you updated to the latest Yamaha ASIO driver? The problem has gone away for me after updating my driver.

Thanks for the suggestions.

It happens without any cable, even after re-installing the latest drivers. I tend to think this is a hardware problem on that channel, but would welcome other suggestions.

I agree, so the best bet will probably be to ask the shop how to get it serviced.
