Transport cursor doesn't move when trying to record

Cubase 11.0.20, windows 10, Yamaha ASIO. All of the sudden the cursor on the transport won’t move when I click record. Neither does it record. After a few measures it starts to move forward and record. If I stop, and start to record again I get the same thing.
I don’t use the pre-record count; besides the cursor just stays there for several measures until I start to play. Then it waits about 2 or three measures before it moves.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi,

Most probably, you have activated Pre-Count by accident. You can deactivate it on the Transport Panel.

You were absolutely right. I found the setting and sure enough the setting showed 2 bars lead in.
