Transport (jog wheel) Issues

I’m sure you can, since Mackie is just a list of MIDI messages in/out, and already implemented something like this for the Arturia Keylab MK2 in its Mackie mode (well not its latest versions but originally I did it) However, I wouldn’t suggest getting into it just for an issue which will surely be fixed.

Like a fool, I spent 2-3 hours a year ago, to educate ChatGPT on the MR API, thinking that this would be helpful in the future for other users. Eventually her coding started to make real sense. BUT, it turns out that the knowledge I provided is limited to our own private sessions.

Awesome, that’s good to know. I’m just cutting my teeth on the API scripting so I’ll probably keep my projects simple until I get the hang of it. Not only will it be fixed, but changing to Timecode works, which is easy enough to swap between.

Yeah, I’ve spent quite some time “tuning” her to my studio and software, but it’s a painstaking process. Thanks for the information!

Ok…So I have found that it’s only the projects that were created in the 14.0.20 version that have since been saved with the 14.0.30 version (stay with me) that have the problem. What I did was to create new blank project then import the files from the previous buggy project into the newly created empty project and saved it to the original folder. Yayyy it all works fine again with no jog fault 🤓👍

Good to know that works for you! For me, Bars+Beats time display, even on new projects for me (both C14.0.30P and N14.0.30) exhibit the same forward-only behavior with my UF1 (MacOS 15.5 M3 Ultra). Interesting that yours works, though!

well, this is really annoying. using time instead of bars works here. But this is really annoying. @steve_pude: unfortunately it doesn’t help to import from old files here. I’m using a behringer x-touch in mackie mode by the way.

Hi there, same issue using a SSL UF1 controller. Jog wheel only works to the right, not the left. I’m glad I found this forum since I have doubted myself and reinstalled all related software. I am posting this as reassurance for others to hang in there! I hope there will be a fix on its way…

Only to second this: I ran into the same issue (jog wheel rewind not working) with an icon controller in MCU mode. Reverting to 14.0.20 fixed it so I will stay there until Steinberg is providing an update.
