In opening an exported .xml file, one of the clarinet parts came over in a key that was one full step lower than the other clarinet parts.
Yes, in the set up, the instrument was indeed selected as a Bb part.
When I attempted to transpose just that part up one full step (with corresponding key change), all parts transposed.
I fixed it the “hard” way: just raised the notes, changed the key, fixed the accidentals…
What is the “easy” way to fix this?

Did you select just the notes in that part before invoking the Transpose dialog? When I do that, it works for me as expected.
Yes, tried that…same effect.
It may have been something weird in the XML import. Can you share the XML file?
Actually, it was something “weird” in the .xml file!
I will do another youtube on this, as it has to do with how one creates an xml file for input into Dorico from SmartScore 64.
When I did the original digitization in SmartScore, I named the parts 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc (the default has no number). For some reason, doing this imbedded something invisible in the xml file.
When I reset the names back to the defaults, the new xml file let me do what we would have expected it to do.
