After transposing a lead sheetin F to Bb the chord “Bb” is reading ”B” instead of “Bb”.
My first thought is that it is using german note names. I‘m not in front of Dorico right now but quoting from a quick forum search check under:
Library->Engraving Options->Chord Symbols->Chord Root.
No luck at all. I’m spending way too much time and effort to resolve a problem that should not exist. Transposing a lead sheet from 1 flat to 2 flats should be pretty basic. I’ve transpose keys many times in the past. This conundrum is the first failure I’ve had working in DORICO.
Thank you for your help. Maybe you, or another kind person, can fix this issue.
I decided to work out the problem on a different machine. Went from Dorico 5 on a MacBook Air to Dorico 6 on an M1. Voila. Success.
Good you got it sorted but if you want to still try to figure out the cause it’s probably easiest to upload a basic project that demonstrates the problem. The next places I would look is if you have any chord symbol overrides or if there is perhaps a font issue that prevents the flat from displaying correctly. Otherwise I‘m glad it’s working.
