How do I transpose from Eb to A?

If all your flow is in Eb:
Don’t select anything, go to Write Menu > Transpose.

If you want to transpose up, choose Direction up, Augmented Fourth:

If you want to transpose down, choose Direction Down, Diminished Fifth:

In both cases, make sure that “Transpose key signatures” is checked.

Normally you don’t need to extract the parts in Dorico, they’re part of the file.

Thank you. I see that I can print from that, but is there a way to view the trumpet part before I print it?

In Write mode or Engrave mode, you can select any layout from that dropdown to display it in the current window.

In Print mode, you select the layout you want to print in the left-hand panel.

Not only can you view it, you can change its look independent of all the other instrument layouts.

You could even choose to enter all the notes using the instrument layout and they will automatically be added to the full score.
