Hello,
I am currently working on a critical edition of a piano trio and have come across something I do not know how to do (or know if is possible) in Dorico.
I am not a hundred percent sure what the correct terminology for them are, but I would like to write dots on the noteheads of tremolos inside tuplets denoting how many times the note should be repeated in the tuplet. In the circled part of the pictured manuscript, you can see that on the second and fourth beat of the bar, there are three dots below the noteheads denoting how many times the note should be repeated in that beat, and this is what I would like to input into Dorico – the three dots. I can not find a solution for this, can anyone help? Thank you!
You could replace an articulation you don’t use with the triple‑staccato dots

Thanks for the reply, this is an interesting thing that I have not seen before. How do you do this?
I can use this technique for now, but I would also like a method that is standardized by Dorico in case there are, say, repeated notes with six dots needed later. Thanks!
Thank you, this will work!

You can also create a custom Playing Technique, which is the route I went: even though I almost never use the Schönberg stress/unstress accents, I felt weird replacing the glyphs for any of the articulations (plus I wanted to have 2, 3, and 4 dots at my disposal). There will have to be some manual adjustment of the placement since Playing Techniques don’t place themselves exactly like articulations, but I haven’t found it to be too much of an issue.

I suggested the articulation solution to get perfect placement, but of course if one needs to create many different groups, using Playing Techniques can be more convenient!
