Trigger Midi schift + 0 not OK

Hello everyone, I tried to follow the tutorial scrupulously:

but schift + 0 does not work and does not open the popover like in the video but indicates the caret on the measure.
I work on PC and maybe there is another shortcut. Thanks in advance.

What language are you operating Dorico in, and what is the language of the keyboard you’re using? Some key commands are different for different keyboard language setups.

Hello, thank you. I use Dorico Pro 5 in french. All the best. Daniel

Here’s the French page of the manual, which suggests the key command when running Dorico in French (or at least using the French keyboard language) is ). (That’s the character produced on an English keyboard by pressing the combination of Shift and 0, but if I remember correctly, on French keys numbers and other characters are the other way around? so just pressing 0 might work?)

You can check what key command Dorico is expecting for opening the MIDI trigger regions popover by going to Preferences > Key Commands.

I’m not sure (and I will check it out) but I might have changed it to shift+Num0 and don’t remember about it
Pressing the 0 key without shift is the shortcut for natural (then flat and sharp).

Good evening,
No conclusive results…I will wait until there is some feedback on the subject. Thanks for your help. Best regard.

I just checked. And yes, by default, the shortcut is wrong (@Lillie_Harris , you might need to correct the documentation) : the ) key is for sharps, so if you select a bar and press it, what happens is everything is sharpened!
I made this work using both shift-) (which is °) and shift-num0 and both work.

I’ll take a look and get it corrected as needed, thanks Marc.

Well, actually, what should be corrected is the default shortcut and the documentation. Because as it stands, your work is flawless, since that’s the shortcut set. But as it does not work, it must be replaced by something else, at least on a French keyboard layout

Hello,

It’s strange because it works perfectly for me with shift 0

Hello, with ), this does not work but I created a midi trigger shortcut with 0 direct numeric keypad without using Schift and which did not exist…I do not yet know how I am going to use this command but this command is now ready for use. Thank you for helping me and enlightening me on this point. Have a nice day, Daniel.
