We just recently had a discussion about something similiar.
There is a script for the ModScripter that will perform an ADSR modulation when triggered by MIDI.

I think it could be fairly easy to create a ModScripter script that will let an incoming signal pass through as long as a midi note is played. A midi-to-modulation-gate.
