The picture says it all really. I can’t seem to avoid this on MusicXML import, regardless of setting… Anyone to the rescue?
Can you post the MusicXML file? That way we’ll know whether the problem’s at Finale’s end or Dorico’s.
Sure… could be Finale, but MuseScore and Sib render it as expected…

EDIT: A native Sibelius export renders correctly in Dorico, so it’s Finale then … thanks for looking 
EDIT 2: After some detective work, it seems the reason is that Finale is omitting the bold line from this tag:
