Hey guys, I have a quarter note triplet passage but the pianist noted that the triplets should be 8th notes and not quarter notes. Is there a way to fix this?
- Turn Insert Mode on
- Select and delete the tuplet beam (not the notes!)
- Select the notes and press 5 (make them 8th notes)
- Select the first note and press ; to make them tuplets
- Turn Insert mode off

I cant remove the tuplet beam without it deleting the notes
I’ve just added screenshots to show you.

Ok I was able to get it! If want the notation to be that way, do I have to always go through this? This seems like a really bad flaw for entering triplets
Do you mean entering or changing?
Entering. If want to enter a standard triplet from a quarter note, how would I approach it to always get that instead of entering 3 8th notes and then doing the triplet key command
I just found it. The tuplets are also based on what the current note value ready to input is based off of so I need to have 8th notes already primed and then triplet

Or write 3:2e for 8th notes.
