Trouble making exact adjustments in Cubase

This is a very basic question but, I can’t seem to find the answer.
When I adjust almost anything you left click to select and then move your mouse to make the adjustment.
Example: Let’s say I’m in the track inspector tab and want to change the volume or pan of the track.
Once you click and begin to move the mouse, it’s nearly impossible to get the exact level I’m after, because the slightest movement of the mouse changes the values to quickly. And if I do get the number I’m after when I let go of the mouse button the value may change because the mouse moved.

The only fix I can see is to change my windows setting to make the mouse less sensitive. But I was wondering if anyone uses keys to move the values. Like click on what you want and use say arrow keys to change the value.

I don’t know if I was able to get my question across in a way that make sense, but I thought I’d give it a shot.
Take care.

Shift+Drag gives you finer resolution.

Also most values can be typed in by double+clicking in the number field.

Most parameters can also be manipulated by hovering over it with your mouse cursor and using the mouse wheel. And just as with click + drag, holding down Shift will give you finer resolution.
(As a bonus, Ctrl + click will set the parameter to its default value.)
