Trying to understand why Creator duplicates .Wavs

So I have been working with Library Creator again and found another problem that I’m trying to understand/work with.

I have been trying to create libraries that have multiple programs which share the same sample, but every time I try, Creator always duplicates the .Wav’s.

Background - when exporting the files to prepare for Creator in Halion, it seems that the .Wav’s get modified with a ‘chunk’ of data which makes them unique to Creator, and can no longer be interchanged.

Example 1: I have two programs that share the same samples

1- export 1st program as HS_Layer. result is all unique files are created

2- export 2nd program as HS_Layer. result is a new folder and files are created

3- delete the second folder and attempt to load and replace samples with search.
4- doesn’t work, it won’t see the .Wav files

Example 2: I have two programs that share the same samples

1- export 1st program as HS_Layer. result is all unique files are created

2- export 2nd program as HS_Layer. result is a new folder and files are created

3- put both programs into Creator and hope Creator sorts it out

4- result is that Creator renames all duplicates as unique files.

Any thoughts or insight?
