Tune highlight key?

Hello.
If possible, a direct or bypass path, during tune (variaudio) how to highlight notes of the chosen tonality(key).
So as not to recall every time and do not miss not one note and do not waste time.
problem happens if you edit a lot, and long time. and another keys, it starts mixed in brain and you start think is note from another key must be there…
too tired of this.
If there are options please explain in details.

if not, DEVS, PLEASE ADD this feature… VERY NEED.

P.S. I do not want to use third-party software like melodine and so on.

Hi and welcome to the forum,

You can colorise the data n the VariAudio based on the Chord Track. Then you can see, if the given note fits to the Chord or Scale. Is this, what you are searching for?

no, i dont have any chord tracks. just melody and vox.

Hi,

Then there is no chance, how could Cubase know, what chord/scale is your music in.

how any other auto-tune software knows.
we have standard tonality, They do not change in centuries.
it are all known, and do not need to find it out.
For example, C major, B minor. etc.

Hi,

They contain very complex algorithms to guess it. At this moment, Cubase can recognise the chords (make chord symbols) from MIDI. Not from Audio.

That means, use the 3rd party software to do so.

What algorithms? What recognition?
Do you read my post ??
It is written to highlight! Notes in chosen! Key.
I choose a tonality and cubase just highlight the notes that fit this key.
that very easy. and simply as 2+2

i cant post links but i think post #765086
this guy make very good post about it.
i want to know if there any another easy way to do it.
until it come officially.

Hi,

As I mentioned, do so by using the Chord Track. Done.

but i already tell i dont have Chord Tracks.
what i gonna do? where i can take all tonality Chord Tracks that will work nice?

Add a chord symbol. You can use the Midi to Chords function.

Have you been using Cubase for along time, or are you starting out?

I’ve been in Cubase for a long time. but I work with live sound. wav. there was a misunderstanding here.
I’m not an arranger, I never work with midi.
I need lighting for vocals. of course it’s not in midi, and the other tracks too.

I created a cord-track, chose the key.
next chose in the vocal track “follow the chord track”.
but in vari-audio the notes are not highlighted and there are no other functions i can chose, what should I do next??
all i see it just do crazy auto-tuning by this chord…i dont need auto-tune. i need highlight key.

Have you read this?

yes now I found it. how to highlight notes with chord-track…it was too hide…
I have seen this icon before. but since i don’t use midi i couldn’t link it…
it’s very messy and difficult to find if you don’t work with midi…
lighting should be more natively accessible for people who do not work with arrangements, but work only with sound. IMHO.

The only problem now is that I can’t do multiple keys in one project.
I put for example; first A min, then F maj.
so all the tracks highlights into. A min. it dont care about another chords…i dont know why.
google say people use multiple
how to make it follow track under it and also change size?

I don’t understand what you’re saying about

this icon. palette. where to choose chord colors. it doesn’t work if there is no chord track.
people who don’t understand arranging and never use midi or chord tracks will toggle this setting and get nothing. like me before.
I work only with sound, I don’t write notes and arrangements. and there are many such people.
therefore, this method is too complicated to find it without hints.

I’m sorry, this amount of training I am not prepared to give on a user-to-user forum.

oh my god, what is “amount of training”…
ONE line text solves the problem. or 3 points.
moderation is not here to help people?

you misled me by saying “add a chord symbol”.
you just had to write that i need to choose NOT a chord,
but the micro strip UNDER the chord, and DO NOT select the chord.
and unchecking “auto scale”.
then everything works properly. finish.problem solved.
is that too much information?

I’ve spent half a day tinkering with these moronic chords that don’t work adequately for my purpose. and give out the wrong notes and just do not tied to the timeline.
two things appear in the form of one of the occurring micro-dimensions, not visible and not visible one on the other. that’s horrible.
it’s too confusing. too complicated.
I am disappointed. spent so much time on chords that just was not need.
then I watched a bunch of videos about chords, until find that I really was needed only 2 minutes info from, which fits into one sentence written above …

Please. Your anger doesn’t do anyone good.
