Tuners not working

Everything else works with Cubase elements 10 but not the tuners. I use a Focusrite Scarlett 18i/20. Windows 10. Latest Cubase Elements. Yet whenever I use Insert → Tuner, neither tuners work. One is G Tune. ReaTune is the other and yes I do also own Reaper.

Does anyone have any idea what is causing this issue? No signal at all in either tuner and yet I get signals with everything else and every other VST or plugin. They work in Reaper.

What free tuners do you use with Cubase?

Are you sure you are monitoring through the insert effects (orange speaker icon enabled on channel)?

If you insert something else, say a distortion, do you hear it?
