I know that much work has been done over the years on percussion kits, and it may well just be that I’m not up to speed on what is and isn’t possible when copying and pasting between percussion kit staves.
I’m posting anyway, in case this one’s been overlooked by the development team. I’m finding that when copying and pasting between two substantively similar projects, visible tuplets are picked up on percussion kit staves, and copy and paste correctly to the target project.
Tuplet signposts, though, are ignored in the initial selection.
This is just selecting the first bar of the Flow and going Edit > Select to End of Flow.
If I turn off the Engraving Option to hide repeated tuplets (in the source proejct), my selection picks up the tuplets and copies and pastes correctly, though of course this will have no bearing on any tuplets that may (though hopefully haven’t) been manually hidden.
The use case here, for what it’s worth, is a 700 bar orchestral ballet score that’s been through a number of iterations. I can’t remember why we split the score and parts into two separate files, but we did, and the composers have been tinkering with the score over the past few months. I’m now trying to copy and paste their changes into the parts file.
Here’s a two minute video:
and I’ve attached the two files.
