Turn off double-click to delete in midi Key Editor

This was a feature I never wanted and since it’s implemented in Cubase 11 I was looking for a way to disable it. Anyone?
I am talking about clicking with the mouse to delete a note entry.

Can this be turned off permanently? Every time I close the key editor, it comes back on.

It’s supposed to save its state.

If it’s not, you should start in Cubase Safe Mode and disable preferences, and then check if its state is remembered.

I, too, would like to disable double clicking to delete notes. The “e” button graphic posted by Steve, though, has confused me. Is this supposed to alter the behaviour? It opens the quantise window right?
EDIT:
my bad (or rather UI bad) the E button shown by Steve has a box around it. Super different of course. Thx
