i’ve been working in an ancient nuendo 4 studio today and again the GUI made for such nice change in comparison to the current cubase user experience.
when thinking about the reasons, one thing i realised is, what makes the newest iterations of the software a little hectic on the eye is the constant shifting of contrast as the mouse hovers over events.
have i missed this, or can it not be turned off? is there maybe some undocumented xml switch that would enable us do that?
I know exactly what you’re talking about. “Old” Nuendo-versions are much quieter visually, and thus easier on the eye and better to work with. Seasoned Nuendo users have complained about that over and over again, to no avail. And no, there’s no known way to turn off these graphic annoyances - errr - “features”.
