Two hairpins after another

I would like to create this dynamic: mp < mfp < mf
(with two seperate hairpins)

but doing so I get this:

Is there a way to “break” the long hairpin that Dorico made into two seperate hairpins?

There is a global setting in Engraving Options > Dynamics > Gradual Dynamics

And also a corresponding property on the hairpin in Engrave mode, if you want to override your default for a few individual hairpins.
