Two tied eight notes with another eighth at same position as second eighth, change the tied note

I have a figure like the following, imported from Finale, where two French horns are notated on one staff.

I am working to put each part on its own staff. French Horn 2 is easy, as I can filter on the 2nd note (or single note) in a chord, copy and paste it to Horn 2. But, is there an easy way to select all of the tied notes in Horn 1 so as to change them all to eighths to end up with the following figure?

The only way I know to do it now is to go through all 200 instances of this type of tied note in Horn 1 and change them manually to eighths.

Just select all the notes and hit 5?

Well. That is simple.

Many Dorico solutions are simple!!!

Hi @Gregg_Butterfield, beside the useful suggestion by @Janus, there is a command in menu Write>Edit Duration>Shorten To next Note, that can be very helpful, if you have different note values. You can reach it also from the Jump bar (or assign a custom shortcut to it, or an alias):
