Two windows open jump to same place in music

I would love to be able to use a second window to copy input from an earlier spot in the music and paste it into the current spot. However, while I can have my original window open to bar 100 and I can open the new window to bar 50, the moment I actually click in the new window, the original window jumps to bar 50 also.

So after copying in bar 50, I then have to scroll back to bar 100 in the first window to paste, which of course eliminates the usefulness of being able to have two windows open at once.

In short, I’d like to be able to work in separate windows without the windows jumping around in the music.

The method they provide for this type of thing is to split the display. Window>Horizontal split.
