The 32’s are scaled to grace. The G nat is normal size. If I tie the G’s the normal G scales to grace. Is this a bug, or is there a way to get this to work? I confess this is not the behaviour I would expect.
It needs to be a proper tie and not faked with a slur etc.
When you tie two notes together, by default they are combined into a single note, with properties set for how they should be displayed with regard to ties. Individual noteheads belonging to a single note can’t be scaled independently, so you will need to put either the beamed group of small notes or the up-stem quarter note into separate voices, then select the two notes to be tied with Ctrl+click (Windows) or Command-click (Mac), then hit T to tie them.
