UAD aax plugin compatabilty with Wavelab Pro 9

Dear Pro 9ers,

I am more than a little confused that my UAD AAX plugins (from a UAD T2 satellite) are available for use in Wavelab Pro 9 which I thought only used VST plugin format. I am regularly using a UAD - Manley Massive Passive EQ. It is slow to load but works flawlessly when instanced with Wavelab. Can anyone clear up this conundrum for me?

Happy but confused.

Are you sure the 64 bit version of your plugin is installed? WaveLab 9.5 is 64 bit only, while WaveLab 9 was 32 + 64 bit.

UAD also offers VST versions of their plugins.

Are you sure that is not what you are seeing?
