UI Issue: Transport buttons disappeared after Windows Update KB5068781 (Dorico 6.1)

Hi everyone,

I suddenly lost the play/transport buttons in the top toolbar in Dorico 6.1. The area where the buttons usually are is now just blank (see attached screenshot).

This happened immediately after installing a Windows 10 update.

My System Details:

  • Software: Dorico 6.1

  • OS: Windows 10, Version 22H2 (x64)

  • The Trigger: I just installed the cumulative update KB5068781 (November 2025 update)

When pressed shows:

If you haven’t rebooted, do so. That usually clears up every issue after an update. In fact, if it rebooted for you, I’d go ahead and do it again. Sometimes things don’t clean up properly after an update install.
