Unable to colour edited parts anymore

In previous versions of Cubasis, I could chop up an imported .wav file and colour code the sections to help me with the arrangements visually. This is not happening at the moment. Whilst Cubasis colour chart shows that the part has been changed (when I highlight the edited part, the colour chart changes to the colour I’ve selected) the part itself doesn’t change colour to reflect this.

Hi @rebelsoxuk,

Thanks for your message.

I gave color editing a quick test in Cubasis 3.8.6 on an iPad Pro M5, where things work as expected - please see the clip below for more details.

If you’re experiencing an issue, please let us know the exact steps required to reproduce it, along with details about your Cubasis version, device, and OS. Feel free to include a short video as well.

Thanks,
Lars

Hi Lars.
Here’s a video clip of mine, not changing colour after selecting edited parts.
(BTW, the Selection tool on mine is not working correctly either. It stretches out for an inch or so, but won’t stretch far enough to highlight multiple parts and won’t highlight any of the parts it touches)

Hi @rebelsoxuk,

Could you please provide us with a screen recording using the built-in iPad screen recording feature?

That would make things easier, as the colors are not clearly visible in the current clip. A short description, or even spoken commentary during the recording, may also help.

Apple explains how to create a screen recording on iPad here: Take a screen recording on iPad - Apple Support (IE) [support.apple.com]

Best,
Lars

Hi Lars

Are you having issues with your eyes? Is it possible you’re colourblind??
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with the submitted video. It’s plainly clear that highlighting a part, assigning a colour to it from the palette (repeated twice in the video using different colours) that the part isn’t reflecting the colour assigned to it!!

Hi @rebelsoxuk,
I have just performed this very task on my iPad Air 4 and 13” iPad Air 6 M2 with no issues at all, have you tried rebooting your iPad, create a new Cubasis project and then test the colour palette once more?
Mike

Hi @rebelsoxuk,

As advised, please provide the requested screen recording to enable a quick review. The clearer and more reproducible the submission, the greater the chance we can identify and resolve the issue quickly.

So far, we are not aware of any issues, as also confirmed by our customer @fixitmania53 above.

Please update the material accordingly.

Best,
Lars
