Unable to download/open Dorico

Hi all,

I recently downloaded the free trial of Dorico 6, and it all went very smoothly, and I really enjoyed trying out Dorico. When I opened it recently, it gave me a message that I needed to open the Steinberg Activation Manager to activate Dorico, and so I did. The activation manager was then telling me it couldn’t open, so I should restart my computer and try again.

I did all that, ran into the same issues, and deleted everything and started over. I am getting the same error message with the Dorico app, and the download assistant is telling me that the installation of certain files could not be started.

Many thanks in advance for any help. I don’t think it is because of the free trial, given that I only started a week ago, but who knows. I am running an M5 mac air on 26.4.

Welcome to the forum, Zerxes. Sorry that you’ve been having problems getting Dorico running again. Are you still having problems with Steinberg Download Assistant and Steinberg Activation Manager?

Hi,

I just tried redownloading everything, and after 2-3 tries, it all worked, and I was able to open Dorico again. It reset the 60 day counter on my free trial, but apart from that everything else seems to be working.
