The “files” in the database are pointing to directories that were renamed (in the same location), so now I have duplicates of everything, of which the old ones have no data.
How do I fix this?
I tried deleting the MediaBay database file located in my AppData folder (Windows 11), as well as a few other Media XML files in the same folder but it didn’t seem to help. Is there a file I missed or another method to rebuild the database?
In which location ? The MediaBay database is now located (since first Cubase 14 version release, I think) here :
C:\Users\<userName>\AppData\Local\Steinberg\Steinberg MediaBay Server
Previously, it was located in the same path, but with …\Roaming in it instead of …\Local. The files in the former location are no longer updated, even if still existing (it’s easily verifiable, looking at the last updated dates). From which, I would remove the content of the …\Local path. Normally, Cubase should rebuild a clean database at launch.

The file was in the Steinberg\Cubase_14\
directory, so that may explain it. I went ahead and deleted the Steinberg MediaBay Server
folder from both of the Local
and Roaming
directories, and that seemed to do the trick, thanks!
