Unable To Scale Properly, Update Needed!

I can’t really imagine how 1920x1080 at 100% scaling would be to small on an already pretty huge 46" display [being around 48ppi in total in reality] at “only” 4ft (~120cm) viewing distance. I myself use a 3840x2160 43" display with 100% scaling [around 102ppi] and about~80-90cm (~3ft) distance, and I don’t have any problems to read stuff. Even at 120-150cm (~4-5ft) distance it seems pretty usable for the most part without scaling, although being better at 150% (resulting in effectively 2560x1440 [or around 68ppi]).

Windows seems to allow a maximum scaling factor of 500% per custom setting, whether it makes sense or not to use such a high setting.

I agree, that it might be better to get a bigger physical screen with an unaltered or at least not-as-high-as-possible resolution in pixel, as every increase of resolution would lessen the effect of a bigger screen size - in sense of readability from afar and without using scaling factors.
You also have to keep in mind, that all the meters and analysis windows in Wavelab need space. If you need them most of the time, it might be an alternative to setup multiple monitors and move these additional windows to a second monitor, while you keep the main window for Wave-Editor/Montage on your main monitor - but some other opinions and experiences on this may be useful, as I never did this myself.

Thanks for the clarification about screen size making a difference.

Which configuration below would things look bigger in Wavelab 11.2?
46" 1920x1080@150%
75" 3840x2160@200%

Either way, my main purpose here was to request that Wavelab be updated to support usable pixels lower than 1920x1080. Are you 100% certain that I can’t make this request?

PG answered it already.

Yes … 100%

Just speaking from effective resolution and approximate pixel-per-inch (or maybe with scaling it is better to speak of dots-per-inch, dpi), the first option would land at 1280x720 with around 32dpi, the second option would land at 1920x1080 with around 30dpi.
So the second option would indeed look “bigger”, as the effective resolution is larger and allows more space for the UI elements, and also with a lower dpi value any UI element would appear larger.
I think 200% scaling on a 75" 4K-screen is a waste, but of course I cannot judge for your specific workspace. Still, you could consider to try a scaling of just 150%, which gives you at least effectively 2560x1440 with around 39dpi.

Thanks for the calculated examples. I found a ppi calculator beforehand to get an idea. It sounds like 150% or 200% will work with a 75" (3840x2160) display but I wont know until I try it out.

I tried 125% on my 46" (1920x1080) and Wavelab was usable, but I much preferred 150%. The problem with 125% is the Windows UI, (basicall everything else I do on my PC) is too small.

NOT 46" 1920x1080@150%
But 46" 1920x1080@100% should be OK.
And 75" 3840x2160@200% should be OK too

The deciding factor between the two is how far away you are from the screen.
