Unable to use macro from MCU

My apology if this question has been asked before.

I have created a macro in Cubase 8 Pro that decrements a range by 9 db. This works great when using my keyboard key command (shift control 1). I am trying to assign this macro to my Behringer Universal Control Surface function key (lets say F1 for argument sake). I go to Devices > Device Setup and select Mackie Control (my Behringer UCS), go to the F1 line, select macro as the category and the name of my macro as the command. Now, when I select a range and hit F1, only part of the macro is performed.

Here is the macro:

Macro Name - Minimize Range -9 db

  1. Transport - Locators to Selection
  2. Edit - Split Range
  3. Tool - Select Tool
  4. Transport - To Left Locator
  5. Preferences - Editing - Auto Select Events under Cursor
  6. Transport - Nudge +1 Frame
  7. Audio - Decrement Event Volume
  8. Audio - Decrement Event Volume
  9. Audio - Decrement Event Volume
  10. Audio - Decrement Event Volume
  11. Audio - Decrement Event Volume
  12. Audio - Decrement Event Volume
  13. Audio - Decrement Event Volume
  14. Audio - Decrement Event Volume
  15. Audio - Decrement Event Volume
  16. Tool - Range Tool

When triggering the macro from the Behringer, it stops before step 7 and does not decrement the level of the event. Any ideas?

Hi,

It’s wired the Macro works when it’s triggered from Jury Command and doesn’t work when it’s triggered from Mackie Control.

But, while making Macros, it’s a good practice to insert an "idle command time to time. Myself, I’m using Save function as an “idle” workaround.
