Uncondensing a Finale xml file

I was given a condensed Finale file (cl. 2& 3, Tpt. 2&3, etc.) and asked to put it into a Dorico file. I transferred it via xml, but once opened in Dorico I can’t figure out how to expand the condensed parts into a full score layout. Is there a way to accomplish this?

You’ll need to select and filter the separate voices and move the lower one to a new staff/instrument.

Tip: Select the first note, then Command (or CTRL) click the last one; and Select More. You’ll get all the notes in that voice between the two, selected.

Alternatively, you can select all the content from the current staff, copy it to the new player, and then remove all the redundant content from both staves. This way you would keep all the things above and below the staff (like text, dynamics, playing techniques etc.) and only have to remove what’s redundant.
Choose your strategy

If it does not go very well, it might be better to have them separated in Finale to make it easier and a clearer XML file to import.

This worked great; thanks! It initially seemed like it was going to be pretty labor intensive, but with filtering it was easier than I thought. Thanks for the elegant solution!
