Understanding Sharing

I have about 35 songs at the moment. About half use Brass, some use Brass and Strings.
My brass and string sounds are made up of 3 Kontakt instances with different samples and octave shifts. Some songs use the Garritan CFX lite. If I have all this in every song the load times are quite long.

I am assuming if I put the kontakt and garritan CFX instances only in 1 song, then copy them and past them shared in all other songs where they are used, then the load time would be considerably lower.

I have tried this, but I must do something wrongly, as during the load time I still get for every song the message that the different brass, string, … sounds are loaded.

Can you please help.

Maybe make them global and mute/unmute in the specific song.

If you don’t need too much different sounds, just simply use
“Global” Layers.
Click to PART (dropdown menu) and click: Create Global Part. The green line above all songs will appear. There. just put your few sounds and switch between… as you wish…
