Is there any news for this issue?
I don’t think there is.
The last I heard @Martin.Jirsak was that VSTI undo/redo behavior, using Mix History, was actually some type of mistake or unintended “feature” in C12, and it was removed by C13.
I wish I was wrong!
Is there any plan to add this feature as legit?
If there is any such plan it has not been communicated to the public.
Additionally the MixConsole Undo has undergone a regression in C14, additionally to losing VSTi undo in C13.
Whatever Steinberg is doing in this area, it works against the customers.
Well, my opinion on the MixConsole re-design has already been stated, but what has been lost in the Undo? I actually don’t use that very often, I may not have noticed.
If you perform changes on several parameters quickly, all those changes will be combined to one step in the undo list.
I would hope there is, but as Johnny says, nothing communicated for the public.
Its not just VSTI undo and the other regression he mentioned.
At one time, iirc around C9, there was also Local Undo. A separate undo for editors only and very helpful.
It would be wonderful if both VSTI (which was never an actual featre) and Local Undo were brought back, as well as the behavior that Johnny mentioned above gets fixed.
