Unexpected missing Fonts in Dorico

Hi all,

On the same machine I created my score with, Dorico now suddenly shows me a dialog called “Missing Fonts”. It shows “missing family”: “Edwin”. I’m baffled how this could have happened as I created the score on the very same machine not too long ago; never deleted any fonts and can’t think of any event that could have caused this either. (A MacOS upgrade maybe? (On “Tahoe” now but I think only recently.)

How can I fix this please? Anyone seeing the same please?

Doing some further research… it looks like that font is used by MuseScore, which I don’t use. I think I remember I imported some MusicXML from MuseScore though; maybe that’s why I’m getting this dialog?

Yes, that would make sense.

Font information is included in xml files, so yes this will have arrived with those MuseScore files.

But you can safely ignore it. Just hit OK and carry on.

Or choose a font you want to use instead of the listed variants of Edwin.

In Preferences > MusicXML , there is a setting for whether you want to import font styles from XML files.

I generally recommend unchecking most things (except Text items, and a couple of others.)
