Unexpected properties change in exported wave files

Hi, I’m a new member here although I’ve been a SpectraLayers user since version 1. I LOVE the program!

My question has to do with file properties, such as loops, etc. I imported a single note .wav file (with a sample loop) into SpectraLayers with the intent of deleting all the room noise below the fundamental frequency of the note. Easily done. Then I exported it back to its original location in the original audio format.

Upon reopening the file in my regular audio program (Sound Forge), I noticed that the sample loop data originally in the file had disappeared. Also, something else in the file properties must have changed because I could no longer open the file in my sample looping program (“unsupported file format” error). However, if I resaved the file in Sound Forge with a new name it then opened up in the loop program and I added the loop back with no issues.

So, SpectraLayers must be changing something about the file properties “invisibly” because Sound Forge still showed the properties as exactly what they were originally (48k 24-bit) before the file was edited in SpectraLayers. Does anyone have any insights on this?

Thanks,
