Good evening, Cubase pals! 
I’ve noticed something a bit weird in all my projects (it occurs in new blank projects too). When I open the MixConsole, there is a consistent tiny little signal which fluctuates between -82 and -80 db.
I’ve attached an image of this thing. In the picture I’ve applied a rather generous high shelf EQ (I was trying to see if I could hear it if I ramped it up a bit). You can see it’s a high frequency signal running the spectrum from 6-20khz.
Even with the high shelf EQ taking it up to -52 db, it still isn’t audible.
I would just like to know if anyone can tell me what is causing this, and whether it’s something deserving of concern.
If you need my full system specs to comment I’ll provide them, but here’s what I’m using:
- Windows 7 64-bit
- Cubase Pro 8 (v 8.035)
- Steinberg UR44.
