Ungrouping two notes in one instance?

Hi, is it possible to ungroup two eighth notes in just one occasion within a piece? I use an eighth note with cross notehead for a clap and afterwards a ‘true’ eighth note that has to be sung and I would like them to be not grouped. Can I do that in Elements somehow?

Yes, you should be able to select either of notes, right-click and from the context menu choose Beaming > Make Unbeamed.

Also, DanaB I found it very helpful to create key commands for beam and unbeam.
