I went through a score I am working on and in some parts I went to the Edit menu and selected “Remove Rests”. I now need to put the rests back into those parts but can’t figure out how to get the rests back.
Any help appreciated.

select the passage (including at least the last note or rest before the hidden rest/s and at least the first note or rest after the hidden rests/s. Edit: in the same voice),

or if you need the hidden rests to reappear for the whole flow you can do Select All

(filter for notes and chords), this is necessary only if in the Preferences you have not Show All properties enabled:

then look in the properties panel, and deactivate Start Voice or/and End Voice overrides: the “hidden” rests will reappear

P.S. Did you happen to see my other post today about getting staves with lyrics to not show double notes when the lines a condensed? No real solution to that tough one yet.
