Uninstall Dorico 6 Pro And Libraries After Trial

I’m not sure where to post this…I thought there used to be a SB specific sub-forum other than the lounge. My question is specifically targetted at Dorico, so…

I just finished my trial of Dorico 6 Pro. I probably should have started with Elements, but I didn’t. Nevertheless the main thing I would use Dorico Pro for would be the custom guitar chords (which has its issues), so I’m going to try some other avenues (Cubase 15 and Elements) before I purchase anything.

Uninstall Dorico 6 Pro And Libraries After Trial? I looked around and don’t see much info on it. Searching the Dorico 6 online help for “uninstall” returns zero references. Searching for “remove” doesn’t return any relevant hits, either.

I’m on windows. Obviously I can just uninstall the Dorico exe from Control Panel, but what about all the dependant sound libraries? Do users honestly have to manually cross reference all the sound libraries in the SDA to ensure they do not remove sound libraries associated with other SB products? I have Cubase 13 Pro…several libraries are shared with Cubase and Dorico. Shouldn’t the SDA have uninstall per program which tracks which libraries have dependencies? Do I just click “delete downloaded files” option in the SDA? No, because SDA help says:
" * Delete downloaded files
Deletes completed downloads from the download folder. Already installed applications or sound content are not affected."

I guess I’ll be done uninstalling before any answers come here. Seems to be some missing info/ instruction/ functionality should customers decide not to purchase a trial.

There are some differences between the sample content in Elements and Pro – though you get most of the big stuff: Iconica Sketch, HALion Selection and Etude Elements.

(EDIT: In fact, it looks like the only difference is that you don’t get HSO with Elements.)

Also, the application is the same: its functionality is determined by the licence type.

That will just delete the installers.

You will be able to see the difference in the SDA, but to remove content, use the Steinberg Library Manager.

thanks for this! Yes, I had just realized that and had just opened it
I greatly appreciate that quick response!

Right, OK, so this is just an SB methodology
users can open both the SDA and the Library Manager side by side
set a filter if that helps, I used date which worked for me
then remove in Library and delete installers in SDA

the SB universe, it has its own learning curve

for example, the SDA “smartly” refers to a single installer for all the products.
Yet, the SDA expects user to know that, because if delete an installer from one product;
said installer is removed for all the products. I realize that users can just DL again.
I’m just pointing it out. The pop-up dialogs when user deletes essentially puts onus on user.

I’ve just compared Elements and Pro in SDA, and the only difference seems to be the HALion Symphony Orchestra.
