Dear guys, I’m not able to show the „unis.“ with the appearance of the next notes in the score. It allways shows up directly after the div part. Also moving the div. itself does’nt change. Is it possible to change this position? Thank’s!
Thank you, Charles! This does’nt made it. The problem was already described here ( where should the unisono text appear? ), as I now found out. Perhaps there is a solution meanwhile?
Could you provide a screenshot of your issue?
Reading the thread you’re mentionning, it looks like the OP’s issue would now be solved by 1) restoring unison as soon as the divisi is finished and 2) activating the Option I was pointing out.
But maybe I’ve not exactly understood what you’re looking for!
Yes, it was through a workaround. I hoped that in version 6 it would be implemented. Thank’s!
I believe that Dorico will always put a unis. right at the location where the unison is restored. If the option indicated by @charles_piano is enabled, it will also put a unis. over the next notes that the instrument plays. The unis. that shows up where the unison is restored can be hidden in Engrave mode by ticking its Hide property.
The property to snap unison labels to notes was added in Dorico 5.1, which was released after the thread you linked to above. With this property enabled, while you still need to hide the first unis. if you don’t want it to show, you no longer need to manually add a unis. over the next notes.
Edit: As I discovered after @charles_piano questioned me, most of what I wrote here only applies if you have condensing enabled for section players. If you don’t have condensing enabled, then he is correct, and that setting should take care of the placement of the unis. label.
I don’t get the first unis when the option is activated:
…or is there something I don’t understanf in the request?
Hmm, what I wrote above was accurate for an existing score I was playing with, but not when I make a new one like yours. Let me see what the differences are.
Ah – the score I was working with has condensing enabled for section players. The particular place I was looking at has violins condensed to one staff, and it looks like this:
In this case, I still need to hide that unis. marking. If I turn off condensing, then everything behaves as @charles_piano indicates.
