There is an “unknown error” while rendering. The Steinberg support did closed my ticket twice as “solved” while NO response happend. Nothing. Since several month. An audio software without the ability to bounce/render is useless. And no reaction by the support. Do you have any idea about “unknown error”? Sadly the error code is not really informative…
Hi and welcome to the forum!
In order to help you much more information is required. Maybe you could post the info you sent to Steinberg?
Beim Mixdown bringt Nuendo die Meldung “Ausnahmefehler” und bricht ab. Live spielt das Projekt ohne Probleme.
At mixdown there is the shown error, live does the project play without any issues.
I did export that project as AAF and imported that in Samplitude and rendered that there, but why did the ticket was closed twice without any answer?
Maybe it’s a local problem on my end, but here the resolution of your screenshot is so low that I can’t read any of it. Hard to offer any meaningful input like that, sorry …
It’s the same for me.
It must be a local problem on my side, because otherwise nobody could render. I put the screenshot cutted out, but I think, I could also post a picture of a monkey, because it just says “exeptional error”. No glue, why that happend. @st10ss : “same for me”: that you couldn’t see the picture right or that the Steinberg closes your tickets as “solved” without any answer?
The original picture has a size of 7680x2160 px, but the forums one is at 690x194: can I put the original size online?
Is that Nuendo 12/13? What I could see looks different than my N13. Support is only provided for 12/13 today, and only to registered users, so that may be why any support tickets were closed. No idea though, and of course, no one here will have an answer to that in your specific case.
You could try this, for example:
That error message usually has to do with trying to overwrite an audio file that is open in another program, or trying to export the file to your project audio folder with a filename that is already used by another file in your project. Try changing the filename and the folder and see if it helps.
It is an officially registrated version of Nuendo 13.
Well, I tried this several times, and also changed the path. I tried it now again, several month later than my first issue: now it says “CPU-overload”. It allways happens at a cycle marker with special letters, as I’ve seen now, so my be there should be no “&” in the file name, which is generated by the cycle marker? That is, how the songs name was told by the artist. So it is a guess-game, what is the reason for not-export. Thanks for all your help! But I am really annoyed by guessing and would expect, that Steinberg work on - now third - ticket for this topic. To be honest, I hoped, that Steinberg is reading in this forum…
I am not allowed, to put an URL into the answer, so the JPEG Upload does not work?
Yes that “&” character is definitely the culprit. Windows does not allow that in filenames. Just change the name of the marker and you should be fine.
Of course I am not shure, because there is no speaking error message from Nuendo like “not able to write file name” or “forbidden charakter” and there is no reaction of the Steinberg support to my tickets. Than I could be shure.
If I try this, it seems, that Microsoft creates an error beside of not using forbidden charakters, funny, isn’t it?
