Hello Dorico, like suggested in many of Dorico tutorials, i duplicated my first flow 1 to have an alternate version flow 2 of my piece and experiment new ideas. However i noticed that all my new ideas in my duplicated flow, 2 are all mirrored in the original flow 1.
Since the two flows initially look alike, my guess is that you’re inadvertently editing flow 1 instead of flow 2. Or you’re not changing flows when you want to compare them. Duplicated flows are not linked in the way that you describe.
Edit:@TonH also has a good idea. And yes, if you can share your project here, someone can take a look and see what’s going on.
Duplicate flow is a feature you find in Setup mode (right-click the flow>duplicate flow) which creates a new flow in the bottom panel.
Unlinking sounds more like an Engrave mode advanced move where you decide that your music frame will not display the MA chain… And indeed, it looks as though the new chain displays a duplicate (and actually it’s displaying the exact same flow again). Just wondering whether you’ve made that mistake. Don’t bother about it if it’s not the case
