Unmix Song, Elements vs Pro Spectralayers

I’m currently running a trial of the full version of Spectralayers 13 and I’m getting good results reducing/removing unwanted vocal spill on live acoustic piano recordings using the unmix song module.

I understand that the unmix song module in Elements will only unmix vocals. Is the result of this, a vocal layer plus an instrumental layer? OR only a clean vocal layer?

In this case I’m using SL13 on a piano track, using it to split the vocal, (which is background spill), from the instrument.

Spectralayers is non-destructive, so when you unmix the vocals, you will get 2 layers - the vocals on one and everything else on the other. Hope that helps :slight_smile:
