Hello. I’m trying to create a custom shape for a 13 chord (six string guitar, standard tuning) - F13 for example would be frets 1X1231. All the first fret notes are a barre and as a fingerpicker I just avoid playing the X’d A string. Can the chord diagram editor put an X on strings within a barre that shouldn’t be played? I can’t get it to create the X once the barre is in place.

Can you maybe share a screenshot? I’m not sure I understand what you’re dealing with and what you want.
It’s this shape but with the A string showing an X instead of being part of the barre.
In the editing dialog, you need to click in the area directly above the string where you want the X to appear, to cycle between an open string (O) and the string not being played (X).
Daniel, can he show an x and the barré indication?
I don’t believe so, no.
Ok thanks all. To be fair I don’t think it’s that common in chord diagrams anyway (though I see it occasionally e.g. here Adim Guitar Chord | A diminished triad | Scales-Chords). In this case I can just put the dots and X on without indicating the barre or fingering.
