Unselected channel gets silenced on gain adjust

When I make a selection on one channel of a stereo pair in the ARA extension window in Cubase, then apply Process/Amplitude/Gain (negative or positive), the other unselected channel gets completely muted for the duration of the selection.

Spectralayers Pro 7.0.10
Cubase 10.0.6
Windows 10
Session at 96khz sample rate

Tested in the standalone app, 96k and 48k, same thing happens.
