I’m on a big project (orchestral hybrid) with a lot of soundbanks in memory because orchestral banks and I don’t want to automatic backup. So in preference I putted these parameters seems to be ok regarding my need :
but every 2 minutes there is a backup which lock me during long time (because big project = long backup …)
when I open the VSTi on a instrument track I ever lost the focus on my track , very often too when I want to record a track, I have to click on the track again to have sound and to select the track … really really irritating !!!

can you please look at the exact date of the latest *bak files to confirm that it’s actually an auto save that slowed you down? You’ll find them in the “Auto Save” folder within your project folder. Maybe, it’s something else (like a plugin) that is causing this sort of delay and we are barking up the wrong tree? Just to be on the safe side

Cubase automatically creates an Auto Save folder in the location that hosts your project. Are you sure that you have looked at the correct project folder? Did you relocate anything?
