I need to stitch 2 clips together without overlap, but when I move the right one against the left one, it then automatically jumps further to the left with a 20ms overlap. This auto-overlap does not happen when I move the left one against the right one. Unfortunately, when logically working from left to right, the left clip is already positioned correctly, so using the ‘moving the left one’ method is not an option.
Is this auto-overlap intentional ? Is there any setting that controls this ?
I don’t recall having this issue in WL11.
I currently have a workaround by putting the second clip on a different track first and after positioning is OK, I change its track in the clips list. This is however a lot of extra work.

You can try snap to magnets below crossfade. The clip will give you an option to stop before overlap.
Also adding a marker will work with the above menu.
Disabling the crossfade snapping solved it. Many thanks !
