Unwanted trimming of MIDI cycled recording

I used to be able to record cycled MIDI recordings into one big clip but recently Cubase’s been arbitrarily trimming the cycled recordings at unwanted places and I have to merge them by hand later. Please refer the video to better understand my problem.

My MIDI Recording mode is set to: Merge-Mix.

Hi,

I would recommend to record into the editor.

Or select the Glue tool, hold down Shift and click the very 1st MIDI Part. All following MIDI Parts will be Glued (merged).

Thank you for your suggestion. I tried recording inside the editor and the same problem persisted.

I’m aware of the Glue tool solution but it’s somewhat annoying to have to do that every single time. Especially since I didn’t use to have to do that.

There must be a preference somewhere for this?
