I’m having trouble with some notes that are playing unwanted when they are not even written. For instance, in my opening bar, my trumpets play a single note, yet an unwanted second note can be heard playing at the same time. It is also another trumpet sound. I’ve also caught the sound of an oboe later on, when a tuba is playing.
I’ve checked my expression maps, my Opus channels, the end-point, but still cannot find out why. I don’t really know what else to check.
Did you ever use the Add Staff Above/Below commands, enter some music on that staff, and then remove the staff? Removing a staff does not remove the notes on the staff. If this is your situation, try adding a staff to the trumpet and oboe staves and looking for notes.
The quickest way for others to diagnose the problem is to post the Dorico project here. If confidentiality is a problem, use Save As… to save a copy of the file with a new name. Open the new file, check that the problem still occurs, delete all the notation you can see, check that the “phantom” notes are still sounding then save the file and post it here.
Because I don’t have the Playback Template which you used in the project, I had to apply one of the factory ones. I could not hear any extra notes in the Trumpet or Tuba parts.

Hi. Thanks for joining the investigation. Can I leave this one with you, please? I have not yet needed to explore the intricacies of expression maps. It looks like the cause of these extra sounds might lie therein, so I would be of no help there.
