I’m really impressed with the latest version of Dorico but yesterday I found that notes in string parts with down bow marks would not playback. I fixed this by adding them to the relevant expression maps but I would have thought that they would have been there by default. Has anyone else had the same problem?
Regrettably, I can confirm that.
In my experiments, both ‘down’ and ‘up’ markings made the notes mute.
What’s strange is that there is no pattern or consistency. I tried various sequences of ‘up’ and ‘down’ bow markings and sometimes the very first instance ‘down’ does sound and all that follow are muted. And on second run, even the first note does not play back.
